United Support Group is currently hiring Out and About Support Staff! If you are interested and at least 18 years of age, please go to the Employment Section and fill out an application and either send or fax it in! You can also call USG with any interest or questions!

The Out and About program was developed based on the needs of the community and individuals served. Out and About is designed to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ages 15 and older, develop appropriate social behavior while improving their life skills and circle of support out in the community.Previously, there was limited opportunity for people in their teens through adulthood to access the community without parental involvement. The Out and About program matches an individual possessing Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) with a staff person of comparable age and interests to foster a connection with the community. Out and About participants become involved in activities such as concerts, shopping, going out to eat, and many other areas of interest specific to each participant. This supports networking opportunities by making links with the community and encourages work on specific social and life skill goals identified for each
individual in an organic environment.

Additional Information is required with the application. USG requires an up to date medical physical and completed liability form before participation in the program may occur. USG accepts any physical form as long as it has been completed within one year. If you need a physical form please request one from USG.
